Soundborne came up as an project during the recording of the Norwegian hard rock band Premacy's debut album, as a result of the singers back problems that did not make it possible to finish the vocal recording. The guitarist Stian Dahl (Premacy, Vile Denial and more) came up with the idea to spend the prebooked studio time for Premacy on his own instrumental project that he had collected some musical ideas for over the years. Together with the the co producer for Premacy Jørn-Arild Grefsrud, the 13 songs that has become the debut album was put together over some few weeks in the summer of 2007.

The line-up became: Torkil Riiser (Premacy) - Drums, Morten Granheim (Diabla) - Bass, Lasse Finbråten (Circus Maximus) - Keyboards, Jørn-Arild Grefsrud (Tidalwoe) - Acoustic Guitar and last but not least Stian Dahl the rest of the guitars. There have also been guest appearances by classical musicians for violin, cello and vocal.

The name Soundborne means "transported by sound", in a more philosophical view the meaning is that the music will transport the listener into the right emotional state that the musical story of each song tell.

The recordings for the upcoming album "Hallucinations" are now finished. The work is currently being mixed by Daniel Bergstrand (Producer for In Flames, Soilwork, Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Insense). The debut album are available over the independent label Reroute Records.
